Glam it up with Aviator Shades …….

Aviator shades are one of the classic shades of all time having been in existence since 1930’s where they were made for military pilots flying the warplanes, they definitely come a long way and are here to stay. It is said that, “Aviator sunglasses were given their name due to their oblique teardrop shape, which matched those of the smoked-lens flying goggles which Ray-Ban was then selling to the Army and Navy”. They were even made more famous by Tom Cruise in the 1980’s movie “Top Gun”. Today, vintage aviator shades are the hottest fashion accessory for men and women.

I’m actually one of the people who think aviator shades look great on most people; they effortlessly give the glamorous look so easily.

Aviator sunglasses have their distinctive look, that you can easily spot, they generally feature a sturdy metal frame with teardrop shaped lenses, which are connected at the nose and by a metal bar at the top.

Most styles can be categorized into three basic types: classic, polarized and mirrored sunglasses.

Mirror Shades
"These glasses are characterized by silver or charcoal iridescent lenses that reflect the outside view of what the wearer is seeing. When you look at a person wearing mirrored aviators, you'll see a somewhat warped, darkened image of yourself; the eyes and eyelids of the person wearing the glasses are obscured if not completely hidden." They come in different colors.

 Polarized aviator shades
"They are manufactured with iodine crystals laid in lens film and patterned so they reflect or block a good portion of the UV rays. Polarized aviator glasses are sometimes designed with boxy sides instead of the classic ovular shape. Degrees of polarization vary based on the design, manufacturer and the price of the lenses."

Classic aviator shades
"The large, almost egg-shape lenses that made them popular originally. According to classicaviatorsunglasses.com, Ray-Ban is the only brand that can truly boast the classic style, as it was the original creator of the design. Some of the classic glasses have a drab, military-green-tinted lens set in gold frames, while more modern styles have a charcoal or black lens with silver frames."

Aviators are stylish, nothing looks as good as them…they just have their magic look.
They were originally branded by Ray-Ban since now other makers and brands have come out with their own line of aviator style glasses.
You need to invest in at least a pair of aviator shades; they just give that effortless glam look.
When it comes to fashion, sunglasses are among the accessories that can easily spies up one's look.

Tips on How to choose the right aviators.

Like I said aviators look good on most people and therefore suits a lot of different faces of course depending on individual features.
  •  The most important tip is to try on as many pairs as you can until you find the perfect ones.
  • Oval and Triangular face Shapes ;Aviators suit them well of course depending on the individual features
  • Heart-Shaped face; Aviators will works perfectly for this face especially if you have a heart shaped face that’s wider at the top than the bottom as they will echo this shape thus making it flattering.

Also remember:
  • Take notice of your face  size , bigger face sizes will need bigger sunglasses, while smaller face sizes will need smaller sized sunglasses.
  • Keep your eyebrows visible, your shades should not cover your eyebrows completely.

Now you know why you want to maintain a cool image with aviator shades!!
